General Terms & Conditions of Trade

SugarWeb is an Internet based service which provides information and facilitates the buying and selling of sugar for which a commission is charged – see below.

SugarWeb does not become involved in any trade other than to act as an intermediary in supplying information from one party to another.

SugarWeb will advertise a party’s services either to buy or sell sugar or related commodities for which no fee is charged. Individuals may not have more than three advertisements at any one time in the same month.

SugarWeb is prepared to act as an intermediary between the parties up until the time a contract is made however they will not be involved in the final contract except by special arrangement.

SugarWeb does not accept any legal liability or responsibility for actions committed between buyers and sellers nor will they offer any opinion as to the validity or worthiness of a buyer or seller as that is the responsibility of the respective parties.

Our commission for this form of brokerage is as detailed:

SugarWeb Members

0 - 15,000 tonnes                  - US$1 / tonne

>15,000 - 100,000 tonnes      - US$0.50 / tonne

>100,000 tonnes +                - US$0.20 / tonne

Non Members

0 - 15,000 tonnes                  - US$1.20 / tonne

>15,000 - 100,000 tonnes      - US$0.60 / tonne

>100,000 tonnes +                - US$0.24 / tonne

Please note that we will require payment in full immediately prior to the trade, however fees are only charged when a match between buyer and seller is concluded. In the event the trade does not proceed any commission paid to SugarWeb will be fully refundable less a 2.5% handling fee.
