Tradition is very strongly protected and an excellent example can be found in the sugar industry today where the refineries manage to combine this with the necessities of modern life by having the most efficient cane sugar production in the world.

With perhaps the most fertile soil in the Americas and  people with  a love and deep rooted knowledge of the land, it is hardly surprising that  the highest quality cane sugar is grown here.
